privacy policy

Last Updated: October 8, 2026

The short version: Your Wishboard is stored on your phone, not our servers. We use Anthropic's Claude to help auto-tag your saves and, in some cases, identify product images. This may involve processing information from links you save or reduced-size copies of photos you add. User-created tag names are not sent to Anthropic. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Wishboard helps you save and organize things you find and love. This Privacy Policy explains what information Wishboard processes, how that information is used, and when it may be processed by third-party service providers.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

Most of your Wishboard content is stored locally on your device. This includes:

Wishboard does not currently provide user accounts or Wishboard cloud sync. Your board, saved items, and original photos are not stored in a Wishboard cloud account.

If you use iCloud Backup or another device backup service, locally stored Wishboard data may be included in your device backup. Those backups are managed by the applicable backup provider, not by Wishboard.

2. Information Processed When You Save Content

Wishboard processes certain information to save and automatically organize your content. Wishboard's backend acts as a relay for AI requests and does not maintain a database of your saved items.

When you save a link

When you save a webpage or product link, Wishboard may retrieve information directly from the webpage, such as its title, image, price, brand, and other product information.

To suggest a tag for the saved item, Wishboard sends the page title, URL, and Wishboard's built-in tag categories to Wishboard's backend, which forwards this information to our AI service provider, Anthropic. Tag names you create are not sent to Anthropic for this purpose.

If standard image retrieval fails (for example, on a webpage without an Open Graph image), portions of the page's HTML content may also be sent to Anthropic to help identify a suitable image.

When Wishboard retrieves information directly from a website, that website may receive standard information associated with a web request, such as your IP address and user agent.

When you save a photo

When you save a photo, Wishboard creates a reduced-size copy of the image to suggest a tag. This reduced-size image, together with Wishboard's built-in tag categories, is sent through Wishboard's backend to Anthropic for processing.

The original full-resolution photo is not sent to Wishboard's backend for this purpose. Tag names you create are not sent to Anthropic for this purpose.

3. How We Use Information

Wishboard processes this information only as needed to provide, operate, and protect app features, including:

Wishboard does not sell your personal information or use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

Wishboard currently relies on the following service providers:

Cloudflare

Wishboard uses Cloudflare to operate its backend infrastructure and relay requests to AI services. Depending on the feature you use, Cloudflare may process page titles, URLs, Wishboard's built-in tag categories, portions of webpage content, reduced-size photos, a randomly generated device identifier, and standard network information such as your IP address.

Anthropic PBC

Wishboard uses Anthropic's Claude AI service to help suggest tags and, in some cases, identify product images. Depending on the feature, Anthropic may receive page titles, URLs, Wishboard's built-in tag categories, portions of webpage content, or reduced-size copies of photos.

Wishboard's backend does not maintain a database of the URLs, photos, webpage content, or AI responses submitted for these features.

5. Data Retention

Your Wishboard board and saved content are stored locally on your device rather than in a Wishboard cloud account.

Wishboard does not persist user-submitted URLs, photos, webpage content, or AI responses in its backend database after processing them.

For rate limiting and service protection, Wishboard generates a random device identifier and stores limited technical information associated with it, including request counts and timestamps. These rate-limiting records are configured to expire 24 hours after the device's most recent request.

Third-party service providers may process or retain information according to their own data-handling practices and applicable agreements.

6. Analytics and Tracking

Wishboard does not currently use analytics, advertising, attribution, or cross-app tracking SDKs.

Wishboard does not access your advertising identifier and does not track your activity across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

Because Wishboard does not track users across apps or websites, Wishboard does not display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

If our analytics practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

7. Device Permissions

Wishboard requests access to your camera only when you choose to take a photo within the app. When this happens, iOS displays the standard system permission prompt, and access is granted or declined by you.

When you select an existing photo, Wishboard uses Apple's system photo picker. This allows you to choose a specific image without granting Wishboard general access to your photo library.

Wishboard does not currently request access to your location, contacts, microphone, or advertising identifier.

8. Accounts and Personal Information

Wishboard does not currently require or provide user accounts.

Wishboard does not directly request your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, payment information, or other account information as part of its core functionality.

However, content you choose to save may itself contain personal information. For example, a URL may reveal something about your interests, and a photo may contain personal content. Some saved content may be processed as described above to provide Wishboard's features.

Tag names you create are stored locally and are not sent to Anthropic for AI processing.

9. Your Choices and Data Deletion

You can delete individual saved items within Wishboard.

Because Wishboard does not currently provide user accounts or Wishboard cloud sync, your board and saved content are stored locally. Deleting Wishboard from your device removes the locally stored Wishboard data associated with the app.

Information sent to third-party service providers for processing cannot be recalled after it has been submitted. Wishboard's backend does not retain user-submitted URLs, photos, webpage content, or AI responses after processing.

If you have questions about privacy or information processed through Wishboard's backend, you can contact us using the information below.

10. Children's Privacy

Wishboard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through Wishboard, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Wishboard evolves or as our data practices change. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
